Angel's vs. Texas Rangers

Boy, we've been busy going to all the Angel games lately.....Daddy bought some and Mommy's vendors are giving tickets away too. This time we ventured to the family zone and I found an area to play at for a little bit. Fun stuff each time we go! Yay, the Angels won! We're getting closer and closer to qualifying for the playoffs!
Wheeee down the big soft slide! I even have an audience behind me.

Welcome Baby Aidan!

Welcome home Baby Aidan! My girlfriend Bonnie & her husband Doug are proud parents! They had a healthy baby boy on Friday, August 24th, 2007! He weighed a very healthy 8 lbs. 11 oz. and 22 inches long at 2:15pm. Big boy! What girl Bons! We went to visit them today and they were already resting in their own home. They really do kick you right out of the hospitals these days! We surprised Bonnie because Melissa was still in town and she had no idea that she was even here so it was a really nice surprise. Even my little Miss. Makayla was really good around Baby Aidan. She didn't seem to care too much when I was holding him. Thank goodness since he is was just so sweet to hold. I just couldn't believe that Makayla was once that small.
Congratulations to the new Mommy & Daddy!
Here he is snoozing away........isn't he just beautiful! So peaceful!
Here he is awake for us now. It's new diapee time!

Angel's vs. Toronto

Here I am at another Angel game. Tonight they're playing Toronto. Mommy & Auntie Lis went last night too while I had a slumber party with my Grandma & Grandpa Ly. So, it's my turn today with Daddy since he was stuck working last night. We had lots of fun as usual. Uncle Phil came with us too since Robert from DB gave us a free parking pass and two additional free tickets. Thanks to one of Mommy's vendors for our free tickets tonight too. Always fun when it's free entertainment! Can't believe how many tickets we ended up with for the Angel game this weekend. Too bad they lost. It was 2-9, they got rocked!
Happy girl in my own seat now since our neighbors left early.....hope I didn't run them away.
Watching the game so seriously! Let's go Angels!!!!

Dragon Boat Year-End Potluck

Today was our Dragon Boat wrap up party at our clubhouse. It was great seeing everyone again since it's been awhile. It was a great pot luck with lots of great food! Yummy! Auntie Lilo made a great DVD of our Dragon Boat season and it was great to watch with all. Really fun stuff. We all had lots of fun chatting away and Makayla had lots of fun at the pool as usual! Anything with water!
Here's Makayla with Auntie Lilo, she's been trying to get everyone to take her to the pool constantly. She's like a fish and could live in the water, except for she turns into a little prune pretty quickly.
We had to get a picture of Makayla with Robert since he's been trying to hold her all season. Finally she lets him! Maybe it's because of that Angel shirt. Thanks for the Angel tickets too! Now, all we have left is to let Eric hold me.........we'll see next season.......
Good seeing everyone again. See you all next DB season! It's been another fun year!

19-Months with Mr. Bear

She's 19-months old today! Hmmmm, what is she doing this month? The constant change that I can't even keep up with. She is talking so much more this month. She can say: food, book, more (more clearly), uh oh, sease (please), mil (milk), DAD really loud and clear and she's always calling for him. She is also moving so fast. She's our little miss busy, busy bee. She loves to color, sing, dance, talk, run & play. She also loves her bubbles and is out blowing them daily with Grandma. She is still playing at the park daily too and is all the way up on the big high slides now. She climbs up and down all of it on her own. She's very daring but cautious. She's now sitting in a booster seat at restaurants instead of the high chair and we even got on for home and put away the high chair too. Such the big girl. Mommy's sad....she's growing so fast. We're also going to a lot more of our playgroups and playing with her girlfriends. She's lovin' it.
She's 23lbs and 30inches tall this month.
Here she is with her Mr. Bear monthly picture!

Auntie Lissa Visits....

Auntie Lissa has been visiting and staying with us all week. She is one of Mommy's best friends that now lives in Oklahoma. She had to come home because her brother which we know very well was in the hospital. He just found out that he has an acoustic neuroma which is basically a growth on his brain that's been getting bigger and bigger for probably the last 20 years. He had passed out and was rushed to the hospital and that's how they found out. Thank goodness! He had to have brain surgery to remove it and has been recovering very nicely. They got 90% of it and will get the rest with radiation. He should be just fine. It was great to see Lissa but under such terrible circumstances. We're just glad that Shaun is recovering and came out of surgery just fine. Too bad his wedding that was all planned for in Las Veges in the next couple of weeks had to be postponed. It was great having Lissa with us. We went out to dinner with old friends and even caught an Angel game for her since she's a big fan! Makayla bonded with her Auntie like you wouldn't believe! We miss her dearly already! Come home again soon!
Makayla and her Auntie Lissa!

Uncle Phil's Surprise Birthday

We all surprised Uncle Phil today for his birthday. His girlfriend Reshan had planned this great surprise for him months ago. She lives in Florida and was able to pull this off. Very impressive! It was a great turnout, probably over 30 of his friends were all there. We all had a great time at the ball game celebrating Uncle Phil's 32nd!
Happy Birthday Phil! We love you!

We had dinner with our cousin Theodore today at Anh Hong 7 courses of beef. Yummy since we haven't had it in a long time. I think Makayla's never had it. She enjoyed herself with her cousins. Good times. It was his high school graduation/going away to college dinner with the family. He's going up to Cal Berkeley. What a smart guy! We wish him the best of luck in school and being away from the family. There's Makayla, Mommy, Elizabeth (Theo's sis) & Theo. We'll miss you Theo! 1st Sea World Trip

Today was Makayla's 1st trip to Sea World. We got there right after having a great breakfast on the beach with Uncle Binh & Auntie Janai down in PB. We arrived just in time to sit down for the big Shamu show. Glad we were able to catch that first! Makayla loved Shamu and kept on waving to them. It was so cute! After that show we headed over to feed the dolphins. She was a little too short to reach and throw the anchovies to the dolphins but she wasn't afraid to touch the anchovies or try to feed the dolphins at all. Maybe next year she'll be taller to feed them. Next, we headed over to the dolphin show and then the Seamore show and again she waved "bye, bye" to them every time we left. She had such a blast! There was lots more that we did and made all the rounds to see almost everything that we could. The last thing we did was to go see the starfishies. She was so brave. I held one in my hand and then she was a little hesitant and then just a few seconds later she was ready to hold her very own starfish. Such a good little girl. She just couldn't get enough of them and kept on wanting me to get one for her after another. We finally had to carry her away and head out. She was fine once we left that area. We can't wait to go again since our passes have an additional free day on it for this year. What a great family day! After that we met up again with Uncle Binh for pizza and then headed back home from a long weekend in San Diego. Great mini vacation packed with lots of fun activities!
Our family photo when we arrived.
Look at what I got, it's a starfish!
Nice, nice dolphin.
Riding Shamu! Our silly Sea World family picture.

Padres vs. Giants Ball Game

Today is the actual day of Daddy's birthday and it conveniently landed on the same weekend that we were already going to be in S.D. to catch our yearly Padres vs. Giants game with Uncle Binh. Last night we were invited to the game but we couldn't go since we had the family BBQ and sure enough Barry Bonds hit the tying home run with Hank Aaron. Bummer deal that we missed a bit of history but who knew. Instead we caught the Sunday day game with Uncle Binh, Auntie Bonnie & Uncle Doug. Boo Hoo the Giants lost but we still had a great time! Thanks Binh for getting us such great seats and even better that they were in the shade.
Cheese for the camera in my Giants gear! I didn't get harassed too much!
My Uncle Binh the Padres fan and me, his little niece, that's a Giants fan. I think he's trying to convert me.......
Me and my Daddy in our San Francisco Giants orange! Thanks again Uncle Binh for everything! You're the best!

Daddy & Ong Ngoai's Birthday BBQ

After Bonnie's baby shower we headed over to my brother's place since he also lives in S.D. We celebrated my Dad & Ryan's birthday while we were all down there, their birthdays both land on the same day, August 5th. We had carne asada BBQ and it was yum yum! Hope you both had a great birthday with the family this year!
Mmmmmm......mint chocolate chip ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins.
The two birthday boys ready to make their wish and blow out their candles!
Makayla lovin' my brother's big dogs! That's Rocko giving her a big kiss and Bria the Rot rolling in the grass right behind her. She just loves dogs and wasn't afraid of these two guys at all!
Thanks for BBQing Binh! It was mellow and fun!

Bonnie's Baby Shower

Today was Bonnie's baby shower that we all put together for her at her house down in San Diego. It was a nice small group of women and we all had a great time. We can wait until little Aidan arrives in just a few short weeks. Bonnie & Doug look like they're ready and the shower helped them out even more! Lots of great gifts! Thanks to Janai, Stacy, Deanne & Melanie for all your help in making this a great day for out little Miss. Bons!
The soon to be Mommy & Daddy! So cute!
I had to show my 2nd ever diaper cake I made. I think it turned out pretty nice so I had to share a picture of it! I can't believe some places charge over $100 to make these things!

Our happy preggy Bonnie opening up all her gifts! So happy!!!
The name has finally been revealed! He's going to be Aidan Ichitaro Stroot! We all can't wait until the big arrival day!
