We officially started potty training this week. We tried a few other times but was never that serious about it until now. Seems to be working since she seems to be interested & understands what's going on. Wish us luck during this process! Hopefully Makayla will get it all very quickly since she's such a sharp little cookie! She just loves her little musical potty! We also got her a little Dora potty cover for the big potty too!
Happy Spring!
Welcome to The Arakaki "Ohana" (family) blog! We hope you enjoy all our updates! It's a neat way to keep all our family & friends up to speed with what we're up to without bombarding you with constant emails and pictures. It's a view at your convenience so we hope you save us to your favorites! Makayla & Mylee are just growing way too fast for us! We have a lot going on so come back soon!

My 2nd Birthday Party at MY GYM
Today it my big 2nd birthday bash at MY GYM. This is where I go every Saturday morning for my gym class. They let us kiddos celebrate our birthdays there too. It's my favorite place to go lately. My teachers, Mr. Gabriel & Mr. Michael were both there to help me host all my friends to a fantastic time! We all had a blast as you'll be able to tell from all the fun photos! Mom & Dad said they have never seen me so excited before! I knew it was my party!

My favorite spot at my gym is in this ball bin!
I'm so special! Mr. Gabriel parading me around in my very own special birthday wagon!
Most of my friends that came to my party! It was hard to keep us all still for a group photo.
It's time to blow out my candles! I'm a pro since I always help Mommy blow out the smell goods candles at home.
Thanks for all coming to my 2nd birthday party! I had a blast!

My 2nd Birthday Portraits!
Still 2nd Birthday....at Build a Bear
We're still celebrating Makayla's 2nd Birthday at Downtown Disney after breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. We really had to walk off that food! We took a stroll down and ended up at Build a Bear just like last year. Makayla is having a little monkey theme this year since she is such a little active monkey lately. We found a cute monkey to make for her at Build a Bear. She stuffed it and then gave it a bath and was ready to go! She named him Mookie and really loves him! She had a good time with the girl who helped her build her bear there, she was sweet!
Makayla giving Mookie his very 1st bath before she takes him home.
Mookie is all boxed up to take home. Big box to drag down the street!
I'm going to take him out of his box and give him a piggy back ride home.
Thanks for such a great birthday!

I'm TWO today at Goofy's Kitchen!
I'm 2 today! Wow, we just can't believe that Makayla is already TWO! It's gone by soooo quick! We took her and the grandparents to breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen again. It is a little tradition we started for her when she turned 1! She really enjoyed herself much more this year with the characters than last year. Still a little scared of some but not too many. She got to meet Pluto & Goofy again. Some new characters she met were the Fairy Godmother, Chip & Dale, and Bert from Mary Poppins. There was probably more but I can't seem to remember who they were. Ryan & I both take her actual birthday off of work to do this and it's real special to our entire family. Happy Birthday sweetie pie! We hope you enjoyed your day at Downtown Disney!

It's gonna be a GIRL!
We had our ultrasound appointment today! I really didn't want to know what I was having but Ryan insisted that he knew. He was silly and kept on saying it can be a secret to me, but not to him. I couldn't handle it that he knew big news like that before me so I caved and we found out that we're having another little girl! We are super excited that Makayla will have a baby sister! They are going to have so much fun together and be so close! I remember always wanting a sister when I was younger! Poor Daddy is now sooooo outnumbered! I think he's going to move out soon! Trouble in the Arakaki family with two little princesses alright!

Bye, bye, Dixie....
We had to finally say goodbye to Dixie today. This was originally my brother's dog from college and then my mom took over and cared for her when he was in residency and didn't have a yard. She has been really slowing down and now can barely see, hear or walk. Dixie was a great dog and we're going to miss her but she has been with us now for over 17-years! Now that's old for a doggie! Makayla also loved Dixie and now has to say bye, bye to her. She really enjoyed visiting her at my parents house.

Jaylee's 2nd Birthday!
Another birthday party on the same weekend! Boy, we're busy little bees with all these parties! It's Jaylee's 2nd birthday party. They had their party in Irvine at a clubhouse and it was real nice and fun too! They also had balloon goodies & face painting. More and more fun! I was pro since I just did it yesterday at my cousin Alexis' birthday party. There were lots and lots of little ones just like me running around! They had a taco bar which was yummy!
Waiting in line with Mommy to get my face painted after I picked out from the board what I wanted. So patient.......
It's finally my turn! Yay! It takes longer since she paints really detailed things. I got Snow White on my arm. So pretty!
Now it's cake time and to sing Happy Birthday to Jaylee. The cake was yummy! Chocolate & white cake w/ banana & Bavarian cream filling!
Here we all are in the end with all our balloong goodies! That's me in front with the birthday girl Jaylee!

I'm pooped! It was so much fun with all the activities! Thanks for inviting us and Happy Birthday Jaylee! Passed out on the car ride home in a matter of minutes!
5-Months Preggies w/ Baby #2
Here I am at 5-months preggies w/ my little girl Makayla. She really understands that baby sister is in my tummy. She kisses and hugs her and it's just too cute! Seems like I'm growing by the minute with this 2nd baby. We'll see how the next few months look......but I'm assuming it's not going to be pretty but gotta take the photos!

Alexis's 2nd Birthday!
Happy Birthday Alexis! My cousin turned 2! She's about 3 weeks older than I am. She had an Elmo themed party at their condo and it was a blast! They had a clown come by to make us balloon goodies, bubbles & face painting. Too much fun!
What a cute cake!
Face painting on both cheeks! I had to sit so still with my big cousin Alyssa! I was a good girl!

New Year's Day 2008!
Well, HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone! We can't believe it's seriously 2008 already! Time is sure flying by so quickly! Sorry we've been so behind our blog lately. Life in 2008 has been way too busy, but lots of fun for our family! Hopefully we'll have time in the next week or so to get this blog finally up to date. Expect lots of entries so come back soon to check it out!
I know I don't look so happy here, but I think New Year's Eve was a rough night. Just spending a mellow New Year's Day with the family watching all the bowl games, especially the Hawaii game, but too bad they lost! Shucks!
Cheers to a great 2008 for all!
