Daddy's Day with Elmo Makes Music......

We celebrated Daddy's official 2nd Daddy's Day today. It was a full and exciting day. We woke up and I had a surprise for Daddy on my Mr. Bear. He was wearing my present for Daddy. His 2nd annual "I Love My Daddy" t-shirt. We had breakfast at home and then got ready to head down to Long Beach to see Elmo Makes Music.....it was a Sesame Street live Elmo show. I had so much fun, it was my 1st live show ever and boy was I so excited! I was dancing and bouncing up and down on my chair when they made all kinds of music! I can't believe he wanted to take me to go see Elmo on Daddy's Day....what a guy....he really is the best Daddy ever! Here I am with my Daddy and his t-shirt that I made him. Yup, that's me on his t-shirt.

We arrived at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center and I had to have a picture with Elmo and my Elmo & Zoe outfit....but what's over there? So much excitement and activity before the big show starts!
The big Elmo Makes Music stage starts with a Bert & Ernie introductionThis is pretty much everyone, the entire Sesame Street cast.....They make so much fun and wonderful music!

Our family photo after the show....I was so jazzed and full of energy after the show. Time for dinner now! We took Daddy to Joe's Crab Shack but it was too busy and then we ended up at El Torito for an early dinner. Yummy! Thanks for a wonderful day Daddy....I hope you had as much fun as I did on Daddy's Day! You're the bestest Daddy ever!!!!!!

Daddy's Day Dinner.....Brazilian Style

We had dinner at Amazon in Fullerton tonight to celebrate Daddy's Day with my Daddy & Grandpa's. It was nice and my 1st time trying a Brazilian BBQ. It was yummy! Lots of meat! We were all very, very full after this meal. I even tried lamb and liked it! We did dinner on Saturday night instead of dealing with all the crazy crowds tomorrow night. To bad my Uncle Binh & Auntie Janai couldn't join us this time around. Hope to see them soon.

Here we all are...one big happy family!

Me & my Daddy......I'm Dad's little busy bee alright, that's what my shirt says and it's very true lately!
Grandpa Stan, me in the middle and my Ong Ngoai to the right during dinner. Happy Daddy's Day everyone! I hope you enjoyed dinner on me tonight!

Clean '07

The week of June 10-14th is a trade show that our company displays at. This is a biggie for us. It happens every 2-years and this year it's in Vegas. This was a tough trip for me since I haven't been away from Makayla for this long at all. The most has been just a couple of nights and I'm at the show for 4 nights without her. Ryan was going to join me and bring Makayla out but he's been working so much that he couldn't get away. But once I arrived at the Hilton, I'm glad they didn't join me. I forgot how smelly and smokey Vegas hotels/casinos can be when you're not around it all the time. Overall, we had a very successful and busy time at the show. It's hard work you know? You get up early, talk to customers all day long and work a full day at the show on your feet. Then afterwards while still in uniform and still at the convention center are cocktail parties that we host and attend. Then it's back to our hotels for 30 minutes to get ready and head out for dinner with customers, old Clean Show friends and Coin Laundry Associations for super nice dining. By the time I'm back in my room it always seem to be at least midnight and after a lot of wine, all to go back and do it all over again the next day. Very exhausting & fun at the same time. All in all it was a good time even though I missed my little girl dearly! Glad to be back home.
Our Clean Show team, from left to right, that's me, Christine, Frank (VP Marketing & Sales), Rita (Customer Service Rep.), Rick (Owner), Preston (Sales).
Me and Franko in front of our stand with the Stanley cup & championship hats! Supporting our Ducks even at the show!
An aerial view of our awesome booth this year! It's the biggest we've had.
Great job everyone for another successful Clean Show! Thanks for all your hard work!

My 1st Audition Call.....

I finally got my first audition call on Thursday from my agent. I actually forgot about even having an agent since they signed me up way back in December and there hasn't been anything until now. So, we went to Los Angeles this morning for a Gymboree audition. Again, it was our 1st time so we didn't' know what to expect, but I guess it wasn't much. It's a real quick process since there are tons of kids going and they know what they're looking for.....so we signed in, waited quickly for out turn, they took a picture of me, made me giggle and smile, and I gave them my photo sheet and off went home for the call back call. Hopefully we get the call sometime this week since the actual photo shoot is scheduled for Wednesday but my Mommy is out of town at a trade show in Vegas....maybe Daddy can take the day off if they call.....we'll wait and see. Wish me luck!

Here I am before entering the audition room........lights, camera, action....not really.....

Here I am with my new Gymboree outfit in front of "Television Center"!
I never got a call back.....guess I wasn't what they were looking for.
There was another audition on Tuesday for Talbot Kids but Daddy was too busy with work and couldn't take me and Mommy was out of town. I hope there's more auditions to come now........

Stanley Cup Champions!

Can you believe that we were at Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals? WOW! Was it fun! What an experience, it was exciting and emotional! What a deal for the Ducks! Daddy got us tickets to this game through ebay early so it was a good deal....he probably could've sold them for 3 times the $$ but glad he didn't since it was an experience of a life time!

This was right when the 3rd period ended, they all threw their sticks, gloves & helmets off to hug each other and start the celebration!

Score 6-2, Ducks win the Stanley Cup! The 1st California team to win it! King fans.....yes, the Ducks won it before you! Neener, neener, neener!

Woo Hoo! Go Ducks, Go!!!!!!
Hoisting the Cup up in the air! Yippee!!!
The Ducks Stanley Cup banner is unveiled........

Scotty Niedermeyer wins the Conn Smythe trophy which is pretty much the MVP winner. Mommy thought it was going to be Andy Mak (McDonald), but Scotty did deserve it! Congrats!

Teemu finally gets to hoist the Cup! He has played for over 15-years in the NHL and almost retired without ever getting to win the Stanley Cup....good thing he played for another year and came to the Ducks....now the big question....will he be back next year? We all hope so Teemu!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DUCKS! THANKS FOR A GREAT SEASON! IT'S BEEN FUN WATCHING ALL THE EXCITEMENT!

Let's Go Angels!

I went to my 1st Angel baseball game of the 2007 regular season tonight. I saw the Angels back in March but it was in Arizona for spring training. I had a blast tonight! I was clapping and cheering on my Angels like crazy. I got a Jered Weaver bobble head as the give away tonight too. Good stuff! We had really nice people sitting around us and they gave me so much attention and played with me and helped me cheer on my Angels! Such great fans! Angel's win 5-1! Yippee!
We're all Angel'd out for our family photo in from of the ballpark. Thanks to the nice gentleman that offered to take our picture!Mmmmm.....chickie stars from Carl's Jr. for din din at the ballpark. I'm tired of all the hot dogs from all my Duckie games lately. Time to change up the food! Yum, yum!
Me & my Daddy in front of Angel Stadium....those are some big ball caps!

Orange Julius Bike

I got to go bike riding for the first time today! Mommy got her Paul Frank crusier that's she's been eyeing for years but there's never been an occasion to get one.....I'm glad I'm the occasion because my new "Orange Julius" bike is the bomb! My bike seat was suppose to go on Daddy's bike but he's got a fancy bike that Uncle Alan gave him with gears, shocks & suspension and my seat didn't fit so that's why Daddy got Mommy her new bike. Mommy had to get comfortable riding with me on the back and she was a little nervous but I think she did a fine job since the ride was so smooth that I fell asleep. We just rode around our Summerlane community and maybe we'll venture to the beach on our next outing! I love the bell, basket, helmet & our orange colored Duckies bike! I can't wait to go riding again soon!
I'm in my new bike seat for the 1st time holding on tight! I love my new pink helmet too! When I tried it on at REI I didn't want to take it off before Mommy bought it for me. I've been wearing it when taking my walks in my pink car with Grandma. It looks much better when I wear it bike riding vs. my walks.
Here I am crusing around with Mommy & Orange Julius! Ring the bell.......ding ding here comes Makayla!

Stanley Cup Finals

Wow! I can't believe I'm going to a Stanley Cup Finals game! It's game 1 of round 4. This is a big deal! This is like the Superbowl but for hockey! Our Duckies are up against the Ottawa Senators! We got Uncle Al & Auntie Som tickets too for their birthdays! What an exciting event! It's was so busy and crowded full of fans and media! Let's go Duckies!!!! We won 3-2!
Our family photo with one of the props they had outside the Honda Center. It was a GIGANTIC Ducks hockey player!
Here I am sitting on the ground waiting for our will call tickets with my Cheerios trail mix. When I was sitting here I saw a bunch of Teemu's buddies from Finland! They posed for a picture but were smoking so I couldn't get in the photo that ended up being posted online with an article about Teemu and his buddies coming over for this special event since it's Teemu's 1st time to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Mmmmm.....Pizza for dinner. This is my 1st time eating pizza like this. I'm a big girl now and want to eat whatever Mommy & Daddy are eating and I don't want it cut up in little pieces anymore. I want to do it how they do it! Yummy!
Here's our Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, dropping the puck as honorary puck dropper.
The special flags are posted for the finals!
This is a poly truck that Mommy's company gave to the Ducks to use. They bring it out onto the ice during breaks to shovel up any excess ice and it promotes Miller Lite. They gave them a black & orange one right before all the playoffs began and they finally started using it at the finals. Go R&B Wire Products, Inc.!

Memorial Day Weekend & Uncle Al & Som's Birthday

We had a nice long holiday weekend! We celebrated Memorial Day with a BBQ at our house for friends and family. We also celebrated Uncle Alan & Auntie Som's birthdays too! Their birthdays are just a week apart. Uncle's is tomorrow, May 28th and Auntie's was on May 22nd. It was a beautiful day out but then got really breezy and kind of cold towards the evening. I had so much fun with everyone! Thanks everyone for coming over! It's been a long time since we've seen all of you! Ba Ngoai, we missed you while you were in Vietnam! Hope to see you soon!

Dippin' carrots with Ong Ngoai! Yum, yum!

I borrowed Uncle's hat and put it on backwards....it's the current style isn't it?

Here I am with my girlfriends....Rachee & Mia. We're playing in my new playroom...the garage! There was plenty of room and toys to make a big mess alright!

The 3-some are back at it again! We're all cozy on my chair with our cookies! Sugar-high...Need energy food to keep playing!

Happy Birthday Auntie Som & Uncle Alan! Yum, yum cake from King's Hawaiian!

16-months with Mr. Bear

Today I'm 16-months old! I'm still not 20lbs. yet, i'm a totally light weight, weighing in at 19 lbs. 8 oz. and 29" tall. It could be that I've been sick and teething for the past 2 weeks. I got in my 9th & 10th tooth last week and they really bothered me unlike my other eight teeth. I've been waking up throughout the night and very restless and unhappy. It reminded my parents of when I was a newborn and kept on waking up in the middle of the night. I have my middle top 4 and my bottom middle 4. The two I just recently got in are on top skipping a spot on each side and there they are. I'm not sure if those are considered my "fang" teeth? I can't believe I still shouldn't even be turned around in my car seat to face forward. I gave you most of my updates on what I've been up to in my last blog so I won't bore you with all of it again. So here are my monthly photos with my favorite Mr. Bear!
Why is he sitting in my chair?
It's okay, I share my chair with you Mr. Bear, hug and squeeze!

Brush, Brush, Brush!

Mommy & Daddy finally took a picture of me today brushing my teeth! They've been brushing my teeth since I first got them at around 6 months with a little finger brush. I've always really liked it and as I got older when they would tell me to go "Aw" and I'd open wide for the brush to go in and brush, brush, brush! Mommy got me a big girl brush about a couple of months ago at Target and it's a Baby Einstein brush that I love. For the past week or so I've been what Mommy calls Miss. Independent and taking the brush and brushing all by myself. I let Mommy help once in awhile. I've been brushing once in the morning and again before I go night, night. I let Daddy brush them for me every once in awhile too. Never too early to learn good dental hygiene!

My Baby!

Here I am with my favorite Baby. I just love my baby so much. I feed him my little gold fish crackers and my milk. I really take care of my Baby! I said "Bebe" once for Daddy this weekend but today Mommy heard me say "Bebe, bebe, beeebee, Baby" a bunch of time! I don't say much, mostly Mama, Dada clearly and the rest is all babble, babble. I do communicate very well and can get most of what I want and do understand almost everything that my family tells me to do.

Go get baby, milk or whatever else we tell her to pretty much get
Kiss, kiss
Hug & Squeeze whoever and even all her bear and animal friends
Love Ong Ngoai (Grandpa) which I start rubbing my cheek against Ong Ngoai
"Hi" & "Bye" but I start waving and have only tried to say "Hi" it once or twice
Blow kisses
Hi 5's
Feed my fishy's
Say "Thank you" by bowing. I understand it in English, Vietnamese & Ong Ngoai just taught me to bow when he says "Arigato"!

Utencils

I've been using my own utensils lately. Slowly but surely I'm sure it'll get better. I think Mommy introduced these to me a little bit over a month ago. I use to just hold them and make a big mess with nothing getting in my mouth. With all my practice lately, I can finally get a little bit of food on my fork now and some of it even makes it in my mouth. I still prefer Mommy to poke the food and get it on my fork for me and then all I have to do is feed in my little mouthers! Yummy! But at times I'm very independent and want to do it on my own with no help at all. That's when it gets really messy. Here I am with Chicken Piccatta from Cheesecake Factory. Mommy & Daddy's favorite! I loved it too!
Diggin' my fork in to get some chicken and noodles all on my own!
Mmmmmmmm! Angel hair pasta & chicken! YUM! YUM!

It's the Big Tub!

Rub a dub, dub, I love my big tub! Finally, I'm in the big girl tub! It's been a few weeks! I was so comfortable in my little blue tub since that's all I've known since I was born. I started by getting my baths in my little blue tub on the bathroom sink, then they moved me to the big tub but I was still in my little blue tub and now I've finally advanced to being without my little blue tub! Yippee! Mommy has been so proud of me! I love all my bath toys floating around but they can't be behind me. I get mad and need them all to be right in front where I can see them all. I also love the water running from the faucet which use to really scare me since it was so loud. Now I love the waterfall and play with it. I even know how to rinse off with my orange bucket.

Daddy's Tourney

Today I watched Daddy play in a softball tournament at Murdy park from 10am -7pm. It was a long day but luckily we were close enough to home that I got to go home with Mommy for my naps. I had a really fun day playing with my friend Taylor (8) which I haven't seen in a really long time. I also met Kalea (5 1/2), she's Pam's daughter who Mommy use to play softball with on Wednesday nights and was playing on Daddy's team today. It was a beautiful sunny day to be out at the park! I made all kinds of friends with all the players and I also met a couple of doggies and one of them was named Missy that I loved! I kept on wanting to pet her and feed her my little gold fishy crackers and we became close friends that I even tried to kiss her!

Here I am with my friend Taylor pushing me around in my car!
I even shared my car with Kalea and Taylor and we all took turns to ride in it even though they were too big and hard to push around, but we had a blast!

Great Grandma......

Today was a very sad day for our family. We received notice from my Aunties in Vietnam that my Great Grandmother (Ba Ngoai's mom) just passed away. She was 86 years old. She had been ill with a large Goiter in her throat. This is from lack of iron in her body (my Dr. Uncle Binh told me). I didn't know my Great Grandmother and my Mommy didn't know her Grandma in person but it was still a very hard loss for us. She was the last Grandparent on both Mommy & Daddy's side of the family. Ba Ngoai was getting ready to go visit her in July but she just couldn't hold on any longer.....so my Ba Ngoai that watches me everyday will be leaving to Vietnam on Friday for 3 weeks. I'll miss her tons but she needs to be with her family right now in Vietnam.

Mommy's Day

Today we had a nice lunch at the new Kings Fish House in HB, Bella Terra. We sat out in the patio and it was a beautiful day! My Uncle Binh & Auntie Janai came up from San Diego to take Mommy & Grandma out too so it was a very nice family get-together since we haven't seen them since my birthday party in January. Uncle Alan & Som also joined us. Grandma J didn't want to come because she wanted to be there at home to help with Grandpa and his recovery from the accident yesterday. We missed them but will take them out when he's feeling better. Happy 2nd Mommy's Day Mommy! I love you and hope you had a wonderful day and that you enjoyed the mini album of us that I made you. Daddy helped too so I can't take all the credit!
I'm busy eating my bread while trying to pose for a Mommy's Day photo with Ba Ngoai & Mommy.
Kisses & love for my Ba Ngoai! Mooouah!
Our family photo, but again I'm too busy to pose for a photo since I'm eating my yummy bread!
Me with Auntie Som & Uncle Alan. Let's see what kind of food they have down here.....
I'm all wet from playing in the water fountain with Auntie Janai my favorite Auntie of the day since she fed me pears, let me walk across the table at the restaurant, took me to watch the lobsters & crabs and let me play in the water fountain! Now I'm with Uncle Binh all wet and thirsty for my milk! What a fun day I had! I hope you had as much fun as I did Mommy!

Fender Bender

Well, there was a little bit of drama in my life today while Mommy was out in Menifee scrapbooking with my Aunties for Mommy's Day weekend and Daddy playing in a softball tournament. Grandma & Grandpa Arakaki took me to my tumbling class today and they took Daddy's car because I needed my car seat. After class Grandpa had a little fender bender backing out. For some reason the car was not reversing so Grandpa got out of the car to look for the release on the parking brake and accidentally released it but the car was not in Park. So poor Grandpa was knocked down really hard by the car door and the door hitting a parked car on the side and rear as it was reversing back with no one driving it. I was safely strapped in my carseat and Grandma was okay too. The ambulance had to come get us since Grandpa was bleeding a lot because his ear got cut really bad and he was really banged up and couldn't get up.
Daddy rushed over to the scene while we were already taken to Hoag in the ambulance. Daddy called Mommy and she rushed all the way to the hospital from Menifee. Grandpa got released the same day and all tests came back fine so it'll just take some time for him to heal the bumps and bruises.

Here is the rear of our truck. Doesn't look so good but it's all fixable!

Same with the door, will just need to be replaced since it won't close.
Here I am with my HB fire puppy that the ambulance gave me since I screamed and was not a very happy girl at all in the ambulance car seat. The doc checked my blood pressure and everything else just to make sure I really was okay and I am. I hope you get better soon Grandpa! Thanks for taking me to tumbling and so sorry for our accident. That's what it is just an accident and we're all very lucky that everything's going to be okay.

Super Star!

I'm finally wearing my very cool sunglasses without ripping them off right away! I'm stylin' in my cool pink car that Ba Ngoai (Grandma Ly) got me for Christmas. I just love my car and I even wear my sunhat (which I usually rip off any other time) when I know I'm going on my daily walk which I absolutely love and look forward to everyday. Grandma says "Let's go for a walk Mak" and Mommy puts on my shoes and sweater and gives me my sun hat, sunglasses and I grab my little blankie and I'm out the door in the morning!
