Disney's Halloween Treat

This is Makayla's 3rd annual trick or treat event at California Adventure with her cousins and some friends.  Disneyland always does such a nice job with any event they put on for the kids and this one is going to always be fun for us to attend since we usually go on a week night and it's only for the evening.  The park is set up with trick or treat stations that the kids venture to for candy, slice apples or carrots. There's also all kinds of fun Halloween events and things to look at and do while walking around the park.  It's pretty low key and mellow.
We drove into the parking lot and bumped into Makayla's cousins Alexis & Alyssa.  Princess Snow White, Cleopatra & Princess Jasmine.  Too cute!
The big candy corn "A" where the princesses all pose for a quick picture before entering and waiting for the rest of the group to show up.
All the Daddy's and their little princesses in their strollers!  What a fun classic picture of them all.
Had to show you the full Princess Jasmine costume with her cute little shoes & tiara.  She was so excited about this day and picked out her Jasmine costume and has so been into the Aladdin movie all week prior to this event.
Mommy & my princess Makayla!  She's just my love bug still!  Speaking of love bug too, Grandma Jay offered to watch Mylee for us tonight since she's really too young to enjoy it.  That was so sweet of them and it let us focus on just Makayla tonight who really enjoyed her Disney trick or treat event!
Once we entered the park there was a dance station right in front of us.  Super fun with some of the characters rockin' away!  The girls had fun boogey down!

This is one of the treat stations that the whole gang stood in line for.  From left to right, is Alyssa (Cleopatra), Mia (Aurora/Sleeping Beauty), Rachee (Belle), Makayla(Jasmine) & Vinny(Peter Pan).

The girls wanted to stand in line to see Cinderella & Snow White.  The line was too long but the girls wanted to so we did even though we pretty much all have annual passes and can see them anytime.  Gotta do what our girls want!

I just can't get enough of these cute little girls!

The girls rode the carousel while all the Dad's rode California Screamin'

Waiting so nicely to see the Halloween Parade.  This ended the night with a few rides afterwards and then the group was pretty much pooped!  Thanks everyone for making this such a fun evening for all our kiddos!

Vegas Baby, Vegas!

Ryan & I had a little fun trip for one night in Vegas this weekend.   We had airfare tickets that we needed to use from a previous cancellation before it expired.  We stayed at the Palazzo Hotel which is connected to the Venetian on the strip.  Super fancy for us.  I think Ry got a deal so we went for it since our usual spot downtown at the Cal was all sold out.  Darn!   I know this might be cheesy but I had to take pictures of the suite since we seriously have never stayed anywhere that was this Ooh, La, La!
This is the bed side with a huge flat screen on the wall.
Then the other side of the room with comfy couches and another flat screen TV mounted and bar.  There's Ry super happy watching a football game!  Glad he's so easy to entertain!

And then the super fancy bathroom with tub, shower and vanity.

We went all out and had a super nice dinner at Boa Steakhouse over at the Caesar shops.  It was pretty good and then headed to see a show at the Mirage.

The Beatles "LOVE" show was recommended and the #2 show in town so we decided to check it out since we've already seen "O" which is still the #1 show in Vegas.  It was pretty good.  Entertaining to see a show when in Vegas.  It was nice to have an adult evening without our girls but we sure did miss them.  We needed it and it was fun!   Thanks to the Grandparents as usual for watching our girls!

Halloween Portraits

Our annual Halloween portraits at Kiddie Kandids.  Got them done for Makayla so now it's Mylee's turn!  It's her 1st Halloween and she's Squirt the turtle from the Nemo movie.  Makayla is so into turtles and helped with picking out her little sis's costume this year.  Mylee really wasn't that happy in her costume and for her photos either but we managed to get a couple of shots.
Mylee's solo portrait as Squirt.
My girls together!  Makayla is Dee Dee Doodle from the Doodlebops just in case you didn't know who the pink haired diva was.  Not many do.  Probably only those with kids.
Just sharing some more with both my girls together for Halloween.  They are just too cute together!

Diva Dee Dee with hands on her hip and all!  She just loves the Doodlebops and picked out her own costume this year.  Can't believe we didn't even get 3 years of picking out her costume for her.  Goes to show you how quickly the kids are growing up these days!

Seal Beach Pumpkin Patch

Makayla was invited by her friend Jordan to check out the Seal Beach pumpkin patch.  She still needed her pumpkin for a school project.  Grandma Jay had to take her since it was a Friday afternoon and I had to work.  It was a beautiful day and the girls had so much fun playing together.  I've never been to this pumpkin patch but I guess it's pretty popular since I have a few friends that take their kids there too.

That's Makayla in the middle and Jordan peeking up on the left side.
That's Makayla riding the little pony's, not sure if she's loves them today.  She goes through phases.  She like them one time and then another time she isn't sure and doesn't want anything to do with them because they smell.  My super too clean little girl.
They also had a little petting zoo for them to check out.  Here's Mak with the bunny rabbit.
Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy with Jordan.

They are so Asian squatting for who knows what?

Choo, choo!
What Makayla would say is "I'm getting dizzy Mommy!".  She's really into rides and just loves them lately!  Thanks Shirley for inviting Makayla & Grandma to join you guys.  Always so thoughtful and thinking about us!  Jordan's new baby sis Chiara was also there too!

Disneyland Annual Pass Renewal

Makayla and I were bored on this football Sunday so I decided to take her to Disneyland to renew my annual pass, while her Daddy stayed home with Mylee to watch the football games.  We haven't been since the beginning of the year and our original passes expired in April.  We decided not to renew them at that time because Mylee was going to arrive and we didn't know what to expect.  Now we're ready!

We did a few different things today that we've never really done.  We went over towards Toon Town and saw this big stage area for Princesses so of course we had to stay and watch a little show since Makayla is so into her Princesses lately.   It was fun and the kids participated if they wanted to and Makayla was being shy.  I'm sure if we go enough she'll want to go down and participate or maybe if her girlfriends go with her next time.

As many time as we've been to Disneyland this is Makayla's first autograph of Mickey and a picture with him too.  We went to his house in Toon Town and it was so cute.  Then we saw the sign to meet him so decided to but the line was a lot longer then we had expected but I guess it was worth the wait.  She was so happy to meet him!

Next door is Minnie's house so we decided to visit her too.  Makayla hanging out on her comfy chair.  Too bad she wasn't in her house but as soon as we left her house we bumped into her right outside.......

Makayla finally caught Minnie for the first time also!  She got her autograph first and then a nice photo with Minnie.  So cute!  What a fun day for her already!  In between all this we rode a few rides.  Roger Rabbit was 1st and was fun but a little dark inside for Makayla.  The next big ride before we left for the day was the little roller coaster in Toon Town.  Makayla is really into big rides lately because she's a big girl now!  We didn't see any height limit signs so we stood in line. While already in line they said all children need to be at least 30" tall and I wasn't sure if she was going to make it but fortunately she did or she would've been soooo disappointed!  She had a blast and kept on putting up her arms and not holding on!  My little daredevil!

Since it wasn't so crowded we got a picture of Makayla in front of the Corn Candy "C" of the California Adventure sign in front of that park.  Hopefully we can conquer and get her with all the candy corn letters by the end of the season before the letters change to candy canes for the Christmas Season.

Stacy's Birthday

We celebrated Stacy's 32nd Birthday tonight over at their new place.  It was so cute and we all finally got to see their new pad since they officially moved back to H.B.  We had Wahoo's for dinner and then yummy ice cream cake!  It was a nice and relaxing evening with some close friends and family.

The yummy ice cream cake! It's so pink!
Of course Makayla & Rachee are helping Stace blow out those candles!

It was so fun.  Makayla's first shot at a ghostly Pinata!  All the girls had so much fun picking up the candy once they broke it.  The kiddos did pretty well with the big stick.  Made me slightly nervous but no one got their eyes poked out.

Makayla stayin' warm by the little bon fire in the back yard.  Notice her oh so cool red socks and flip flops!  Stylin'!

Irvine Park Pumpkin Patch

We headed to the pumpkin patch today at Irvine Park with our girls.  We got a flyer over the summer at our 1st visit there and it had all kinds of fun events for the pumpkin patch so we decided to do something different and try it out instead of just always staying in HB for the pumpkin patch.  It was actually a pretty hot day and super nice and sunny out.  We had a nice time.  Grandma & Grandpa Arakaki joined us in all the fun too!

Lots of pumpkins to choose from, Makayla needs to pick one out for a little school project so I hope she can find the perfect one and size for her.  Too many choices!

Mylee's waiting for her big sis to get her face painted.  Mylee started off just fine and then all of sudden got super fussy on us.  She kept crying and I just couldn't soothe her for some reason.  Not sure what it was but she was kind of off and on like that the whole time we were there so there was no opportunity for both girls to have some pictures together at the pumpkin patch.  Oh well, one of those things.  At least we were able to get at least this one shot with some pumpkins behind her.  She got her very own 1st little baby pumpkin too.

Makayla getting her face painted.  She said she wanted a pumpkin on her face so we'll see what the artist comes up with!  Sitting still like such a good girl!

I think this is the one!
My perfect pumpkin and do you like my pumpkin face?  Isn't it just so cute?

Scarecrow Mak being silly!

She's almost 3ft tall!  What big girl!
I know this picture is totally odd to be with our pumpkin patch day, but Makayla remembered seeing these giant floater bikes last time she rode the train around Irvine Park and boy she didn't let us forget to take her.  It was fun.  I was a little nervous hopping on it with her but it was pretty low key and kind of nice to pedal around the little man made park lake they had.  Makayla kept on wanting to chase the ducks with our bike.  And this thing didn't move that fast at all.  We'll have to come back and do this again sometime and have a picnic here and bring our real bikes to cruise around.  Super neat park and really big too!

Supergirl

Check out our little Supergirl!  Click on the play symbol on the bottom left hand corner of the video to start it.  Mylee is just so cute lately!  She's just full of giggles and smiles and the personality is really starting to come out.  She's having fun being on top of the world!  Makayla comes into the picture and is trying to be so helpful by patting her back to burp her.  Too cute!  Big Sis really loves her Lil' Sis!  We're so happy that Makayla's adjusted pretty nicely to Mylee.

Kidsfaire

We heard about this Kidsfaire at the O.C. Fairgrounds and decided to check it out for a bit today.  We had a coupon for Makayla and it had a picture of Dora on it so she kept telling me all week she was going to see Dora.  I hope we find her while we're here.  It was a gloomy morning but then turned out to be pretty hot and nice out.  The faire had a lot of vendors selling kids stuff but there were also a lot of fun things for the kids to do also.  When we first got there she got a cute Home Depot kids apron for playing a little toss the bean bag game.  Then she won a puck a the Ducks booth.  Check out the pictures below to see what Makayla got to do in addition to this.  I know a lot of these posts are of Makayla but her little sis Mylee attends most of these events with big sis but she's usually sleeping so the pictures are not so exciting of her.
This was a cute little booth selling their face painting services for kids parties.  They did this for free for her and she picked out a little pink kitty cat face off of the samples.  She just loves getting her face painted and she sits so still and is so good for the artist every time.  Meow!
The Lowes booth taught the kids how to plant their own flowers.  Here's Makayla pouring dirt into her little pot.  She picked out a real pretty pink flower.  This was free too!  Hope we can keep it alive when we get home.
She found Dora and Boots!  Good thing we were in the area when Dora came out and we saw her pretty quickly and amazingly enough her line wasn't too long at all.  Makayla's been getting braver taking pictures with the Giant characters.  We saw Spongebob come out next and boy is he popular, but Makayla really doesn't know who he is so good thing we didn't have to stand in that line too.
Our little kitty cat doesn't look too happy on the choo choo train, but she really is.....she's just making sure we're still there since she's such a big girl and riding all by herself now.  She did have fun!

Then she chose to ride in the giant bear with Daddy.  This spins like the teacups but not so fast.

This was a mini swing and she got to ride it all on her own too.  Getting to be such a big girl and tall enough for these small rides.
