We headed down to San Diego this weekend to celebrate Ryan's birthday. We seem to always be down in S.D. for his birthday. We started off the morning early so that we could take the girls to the S.D. zoo. Auntie Janai & Uncle Binh have annual passes to the zoo and got us the zoo hook up! We didn't have to pay admission. What a deal! This was Mylee's first trip to the zoo and Makayla's first trip to the zoo this year and I think San Diego zoo. Not sure she' really been there yet since we have too many activities and I just can't remember. Either that or it's my old age! Just the Wild Animal park from what I can recall she's been to down there. Auntie Bonnie & Aidan met us there too. It was a nice day to be at the zoo and Makayla had so much fun! She just loves animals and could keep on looking at them all day long. She's also full of questions lately, our little Miss. Chatterbox!
Waiting to in line to get into the zoo. I can't believe Mylee's actual up for a picture! Then there's our Makayla and Mr. Aidan!
We started off by hopping on the tour bus around the zoo. I couldn't believe they charge for this now in addition to the admission. It use to be free! I guess they have to feed and care for the animals and all costs have just risen lately! It was a great little tour so we can kind of see it all and then pick and choose what we want a close up at later.
Makayla & Aidan really enjoying the Orangutans. They are so silly and so strong swinging from rope to rope. They kept Makayla really occupied for awhile!
Mak with Auntie Janai checking out the Lorakeet birdies.
Makaya's telling us to be quiet since the Panda's are real sensitive and need it to be as quiet as we can be. So cute!
That's the mommy panda walking away.
And there's baby panda snoozing in the trees! The pandas were our last exhibit since we really didn't have that much time at the zoo today. We need to get home so the kiddos can all nap before we head off to a baseball game tonight. But we'll definitely be back down to see more of the zoo since there was so much more to see and so little time! Thanks Binh & Janai for getting us into the zoo and joining us there too! Was lots of fun!
