Dad's 70th Surprise Party

It's time for a big celebration!  My Dad is turning 70!  This is a huge deal and my brother and I have wanted to throw him a surprise party for awhile now.   My mom kept on trying to convince us not too but we just ignored her!  I know she was concerned about the expense but hey, you only turn 70 once and it's now or never!
Look at him in the early years with all that hair!

My parents on their wedding day.  Love these old pictures of them!  Can't wait to make them an album one day of all these old family photos!  We used a lot of these old photos to make a little slide show for his friends and family to view at the surprise party!

SURPRISE!!  Does he look shocked at all?  I think yes and no.  He said he was a little suspicious of me when I asked him to dinner.  Don't know why since I always ask  him to dinner.  He was so joyed he had tears!  So much fun!  Look at that huge smile!  And look at how happy my mom is also!  Special moments like this are absolutely Priceless!
This was a great banner that I got made through my work.  It was a great deal and beautifully designed my my graphics artist.  She used the same type of concept when she designed some things for our trade show in New Orleans.  Perfect for our jazz themed party at Spaghettini's Jazz Bar & Grill.  Thanks to Alan & Som for taking care of all the balloon decor too!
Our M&M girls saying Happy Birthday Ong Ngoai!  Dressed so cute in their little matching watermelon outfits that Makayla picked out before summer started.  We forgot we had them.  Perfect occasion for the girls to match and always super cute when they do!
Monster Makayla!  She was having such a great time at her Grandpa's birthday party!

His awesome cake from the Great Dane Bakery.  German chocolate cake, his favorite.  I just got a mini 6" cake since the package with the restaurant called for everyone to get dessert.  He'll have to probably save this one until later in the week.  They do such an awesome job on the cake decor.  Simply gorgeous and yummy too!

Our family photo.  There were too many photos to post them all but all good friends and family close by.  Spaghettini's did a great job for our party of 40 guests.  Service was above and beyond!  Happy Birthday Dad!  Hope you had a wonderful time at your party! We loved seeing your glowing happy face!
