We decided to take a little mini family vacation with a road trip up to Northern California for a few days. This is something we've had planned for awhile even though I just started back to work about a week ago from maternity leave. I can't believe it's been 3-months already since
Mylee was born! Time sure does fly by! Now I'm taking some more time off but it's real time off on vacation with the new addition to our family. We're taking a test trial to see how it is with two little ones on vacation vs. one now. We took almost this same road trip when
Makayla was around 8-months old. We started on the trip today, Thursday and our first stop is
Solvang.
Checking out the Emu's and
Ostrich'sMakayla & Daddy feeding the Emu's, they're much more mellow and less aggressive then the Ostrich's.
Mylee & Mommy were there too, but it's just too bright for Baby
Mylee. Her eyes are closed tight!
Had to stop for some
famous Ebelskivers. So yummy! We even got a special pan to make at home too. It's a like a little round pancake that has yummy fillings on the inside. My brother
Binh makes the best one's so far! Now that we have our own pan, we'll have to ask him for his secret recipe.
The giant shoe that Makayla took a picture with when she was just a baby. She sat in the shoe last time, but she's now too big! We enjoyed the few hours we had in Solvang. It was relaxing just to have a bite to eat and hang out and walk around. Nice little town.
