New Year's Day

We decided to start off the New Year at Makayla's favorite place, good old Disneyland!  Well, that's what we intended on doing until we arrived and it was an absolute zoo, but we went for it anyways.  Instead we went to California Adventure.  Ryan actually joined us for the first time since I renewed my annual pass in November without him.  I've been taking Makayla almost every Sunday while he's at home on Sunday watching football with his girl Mylee!  This was a big day for Mylee also.  It's her very 1st visit! 

While Ryan stood in line to get his pass with Mylee snoozing in her stroller, Makayla and I headed in without him.  We were just walking around and got so lucky as to see Makayla's most favorite Princess Aurora!  She was so happy to get her autograph and picture!

Looks like Mylee is super happy and having a good time for her 1st visit.  She's waiting so nicely while her big sis is riding all the rides in Bugs Life area.  There were really no rides she could go on quite yet on the California Adventure side.

After our lunch break we saw the High School Musical 2 parade.  It was fun, loud music and dancing so of course Makayla wanted to watch it on top of Daddy's shoulders!  She was movin' to the beat on her Daddy's shoulders.  It was pretty funny watching her rock out and Ryan trying not to drop her.

I guess this is Makayla's 1st ride.  King Triton's carousel.  Makayla rode on one of the sea creatures and we sat on the bench behind her with Mylee.  She had fun!

Headed out and have to have our churro!  Makayla loves them!  Daddy and his sweet girls!

On our way out and got a little family picture with the Mickey "C" in front of California Adventure.  We had such fun day and so glad we battled it out and stayed because it wasn't so bad once we got in.  Good way to start off the year for sure with some family time!
