Snow Day!

We still had today off, so we promised to take Makayla up to see the snow.
She was so looking forward to it and we're so happy we took her & Mylee up to Big Bear.  It was an absolutely beautiful day!  Not too cold and not too warm!
We stopped on the side of the road on the way up to rest for a bit and to get some fresh air!  Plus Mak wanted to look at the big mountains!

Here we are at Snow Play a tubing place that Ry found online for her or maybe for him.  They had automatic elevators up to the top!  Pretty nice!
Weeeee, here they go down the mountain on their tummy's!  Makayla held onto her Daddy like she was his Superman cape! They did this over and over again back and forth on their bums too.

Check out the little video clip.
Ryan and his girls!  That's a big inter tube!  Too bad Mylee is too young for this but soon enough she'll be right there with her big sis!

It now break time!  She's been going non stop on that inter tube!  I'm sure Ry's tired too from carrying her up even though he just has to stand on the elevator thing.  She's still quite heavy!
My girls all bundled up!  Nice sunny day but it was still brrrr out!

After a fun filled day up in the snow we headed down towards UC Riverside.  My old stomping grounds to have my favorite sandwich at my favorite sandwich shop!  The steak and cheese from the Sub Station!  Yummerz!  My girls are waiting to try it too!

Mylee is ready for her lunch and so happy!  Had such a fun day, well I don't think she enjoyed being in that snow suit but she liked being out there to watch her sis and to see what was going on.

Waiting for the sandwiches!  They are sooo good!  We even got a couple to go so we can have again tomorrow or even tonight for dinner.  We'll see!  Yes, they're that good!  They were introduced to me by my brother who went to UC Riverside before I did.  He showed me the spots when I first started there way back when.  What a fun day and now headed home for a little bit of R&R before going back to work tomorrow.  Boo!

Mylee 10-Months Old with Mr. Pooh Bear

She's 18lbs. and 27 1/2" tall this month.  The 1-year mark is approaching fast!  She's still sitting and starting to crawl and we just started her on #3 foods and a little table food her and there and cute up very, very small.  She loves it!  Full of smiles still and makes lots of sounds but I'm patiently waiting for her to say mama!  Can't wait until that day happens.  I remember Makayla doing awhile ago so I'll have to look.  Whenever she says it is fine just as long as she does so I'll keep waiting...... She's our sweet, sweet girl!  Getting so big!

Big smile with Mr. Pooh Bear.  I think she's in the same outfit with Mr. Pooh Bear as last month. Oh vell as long as she's comfy which she is in this outfit.
Our M&M's being super silly!  They just have a blast together!

Getting up on her knees and starting to crawl!  Yay!  Big girl!

D-land & Nemo

Another night at D-land.  It was pretty chill night.  We were bored so headed here for just a few hours.  It even started to drizzle on us too.  Perfect since it was crowded at all.

Hanging out in Toon Town after Makayla's favorite little roller coaster, Go Gadget!  (She's calls it the snake ride).  Mylee was good too and it's always nice to walk her around to get some fresh air!  She loves it and is always good for us when we go.

Not a great picture of us but it'll do.  We're in the Nemo submarine ride for the very 1st time!  Can you believe it?  It's a new ride but probably open for at least over a year now and the line is always at least 2-hours so we've never waited.  Tonight it was only 20 minutes so we went for it.  Fun but so not worth a 2-hour line so glad we never did that.  The girls both really enjoyed it!

Mammoth

We made it on a little Mammoth trip to get some boarding in!  I've been really itching to go since I haven't been since I got preggies with Mylee over 18 months ago.  Ry's been with the guys but not me.  Lucky guy!  We took Friday and Monday off so we didn't have to rush and be able to spend an extra day with the girls on Monday since we didn't take them on this little trip. Yes, I was actually being selfish for once and wanted to board and not to worry about the girls.  Plus it's pretty cold and they just both recovered from a cold.
Ry is excited!  Making sure my board is intact since I haven't used it a long time!

The Chow's took their twins up with us and stayed at their condo up there.  It's the twins first snow trip.  They had fun!  I'm helping Grace out and taking care of Ethan a little.  It gave me a little baby fix since I do miss my girls and it's only the 1st day.  We got up there on Friday fairly early so had time to walk around and had some dinner.  The rest of the group didn't show up until real late and we were all sleeping so we just met up with them on the mountain the next morning.
We found a little igloo when waiting to meet up with the rest of the group.  I went in and sat with a little boy and his instructor.  So cute!  He was about four and in lessons.  Can't wait until I can get my little Makayla up there!  Next year for sure!
The guys!  From left to right, there's Brian (new friend), Ry, Alan, Ed and Phil.

The girls!  Me, Neddy (Brian's fiance) and Cora.  We're up on top getting ready to strap in after the gondola ride.  It's pretty high up here!  But oh so beautiful and refreshing!

After a hard day of boarding all day we met up at the Village.  Here are the twins all bundles up!  Too cute!  Little Haley & Ethan!

The village was pretty packed so we headed to Grumpy's for  a little pool, foosball and some beer.  It was very chill.

Waiting for dinner with some beers!  Pretty fun night and trip!  We only stayed the two night and boarded for one day.  We headed back on Sunday fairly early to get home to our girls!  Can't wait to see them!  Thank you so much to both grandparents for taking such good care of them for us so we could take this little trip!

Final Flower Girl Dress Fitting

Whew, her dress came in with just a few weeks to spare!  They called last week and it came in but had a stain, ugh!  Should we panic?  No since it came in 4 days later so we're all set!  It fit perfectly on her!  She twirled around and modeled for us!  So cute!  I even remembered to bring the sash that matched the bridesmaid dresses so this is it!  Too bad Som couldn't join us to see it but we sent her this picture to her phone.  The big day is fast approaching and our little girl is going to be so cute all dolled up!

M&M's Easter Portraits

My girls in their matching Easter dresses.  I'm so happy that we got a decent picture of them together.  It's pretty hard to do for us.  One is usually cooperating and then the other is not.  Mylee was totally happy to take these photos and Makayla surprising was the more difficult one but we managed to get some cute shots!  This was my favorite of the two together!  Spring is here!  Enjoy!

Mylee's 9-Month Old Portraits

Our little precious Mylee!  She's 9-months old now and it's time to do one of her milestone portraits!  It happens to land around Easter so she's in her Easter dress!   I don't have much to say here except for she's just darling as can be!  We just can't get enough of her!  She's a super happy baby and just so much fun lately!

Big smile and big hair bow!
My favorite picture of her right now!
Just kickin' back.

Look at those cute little hands, so proper looking in that pose.

Record Birthday Parties in 1-Day!

Makayla had a record day of birthday parties today!  She was invited to 4 of them.  I had my Scrap Day already planned so good old Daddy was really Super Dad!  I would have probably just picked 2 to attend myself but looks like he ended up making it to 3 out of the 4.  Sorry Carter, we had RSVP'd to the others already before we got your evite.
Here's Makayla with Mikey celebrating his 4th birthday!  He goes to preschool with Makayla and is in her class but a little bit on the older side. Small world that his Dad is my IT consultant at work.  Mikey just loves fire trucks so that was the theme of his party today.

They had a bounce house in their backyard, Makayla's favorite thing to do!  Jump, jump, jump!

Check out this cute little video that Ryan took of the little one's trying to break open the fire truck pinata!  It's going to take forever!  I think after awhile, Mikey's Daddy couldn't stand the torture anymore and broke it open for them like the Hulk!

It's time to sing and cut the cake!  Happy Birthday Mikey!  I had fun and thanks for the invite!

Mmmmmmm, CHOCOLATE and FROSTING!

After Mikey's they went home to rest for a few minutes and then headed off to Katie's 4th birthday at Pump It Up!  Makayla just loves this place!  It is so much fun for the kids and their parents because we can participate too!  She made a friend here and they were buds throughout the party is what I heard.  She seems much older but that seems to be what Makayla follows most of the time.  Katie had a little Hello Kitty themed party, another favorite of Mak's!
A video of her sliding!  Weeeeee!
The silly group pictures with all of Katie's friends that came to celebrate with her!  Happy Birthday Katie and thanks for the invite, it was soooo much fun!  They got a great Hello Kitty goodie bag!  After this party, I think Ryan and Makayla were both tired but he headed over to the Pistilli's our really, really good friends for Logan's 1st birthday.  Pretty much just to drop off a gift and wish him a Happy 1st!  I think Makayla jumped in their bounce house for a little bit and then she was done!  Crash and burn I'm sure!  What a day!  Good job Super Dadddy!

Tux Fitting

Uncle and Daddy go in for the tux fitting. Just counting down to the big wedding day now.  It was fun for all of us to go together to help the guys out.  Plus we were able to get a few silly photos too.  I think they look pretty sharp just in the vest and the t-shirts!  That'll make it one classy wedding alright!
Auntie and Uncle got her the giant light saver bubble stick while they were purchasing glow sticks too.  She loved it and after dinner at CPK she couldn't wait to get home to use it!  It was dark out but we still played with bubbles.  The glow sticks are for the wedding, opps sorry, the rave.  Haha!

St. Patty's Day and Last Ballet Class

We're preparing for St. Patty's Day and Makayla's last ballet class for the session.  It happens to land on St. Patty's Day so we decided to bake some green cupcakes for the party.  Makayla just loves helping with everything lately and her favorite is to help with baking.  She's pretty good at it.  We make a mess but it's so much fun!

Little Betty Crocker licking the spoon to make sure everything is tasting just right!

While they were in the oven I took her for a bath, she's really into her princess night gown dresses and topped it off with her tiara tonight while decorating her very green cupcakes. They turned out real cute and she had a blast and is excited to share with her ballet friends tomorrow morning.

Here's a video clip of her dancing a little bit to "I'm a Little Tea Pot" with her friend Jordan.  It took her a little while to warm up today.  I think there were too many people that came to watch.  Stage fright already.

Our little ballerina and her instructor Ms. Kim!  She's just so great with all the little girls!  Cute how she just does her ballet pose all on her own.
It's party time!  Jordan's daddy brought these great cup cakes from Great Dane bakery!  They were so pretty and so yummy!  Our cupcakes were only okay compared to those.  Plus we tried to make ours with reduced sugar and the frosting doesn't stay too nice.  I don't think we'll be doing it that way again.  We tried.
It's official, she conquered her class and got her certificate!  Yay!  She's ready to move to the next level after being in the Grandma & me class now for two sessions. She loves and wants to continue so we'll sign her up!

Flower Girl Dress

Well, it's a month until the big family wedding for Alan & Som.  Makayla has been asked to be their flower girl and is very excited and so are we! She's  been really practicing around the house with a little basket filled with fake flower pedals.  We think it's about time that we find her a dress. Time just flew by so quick and we can't believe we waited this long before we even starting to look.  Som and I both thought it'd be easy and quick. Once Som started calling around she got pretty nervous and so did I because most places said 6-8 weeks lead time unless you find her size on the rack which is very slim.  We don't have 6 weeks!  Eeek!  So we just started one afternoon after work.  The first place we tried we found a cute dress but the lead time for them to order her dress would not work for us and for some reason that store was extremely expensive!  On to the next......

Here she is getting ready to start trying on all the dresses at this store.  They had a much better selection and lead time too. We had a good feeling about this place.  She was twirling in the dresses and loved it!  We had such a good time.  Som found the perfect dress for her that matched the brides!  Now let's just see if we can get it in time.
Here's a sneak peak at it!  It's ivory and will have a sash that will match all the bridesmaids.  It's going to be perfect and the owner of the store Jinny was so helpful and said we'll have it next week!  Yippee!  I guess it wasn't that hard after all.  It was all meant to be to fall right into place!

Som's Bridal Shower

The BIG day for Alan & Som is approaching fast.  We're celebrating Som's bridal shower today at our clubhouse.  It was a beautiful sunny day for this special occasion!  All her wonderful girlfriends and family came to help her celebrate!  The morning started off busy to get everything set up since she only has 2 bridesmaids that live here to help out so of course I pitched in for my soon to be sis! The other 2 are all the way from Thailand and I'm assuming the traditions there are quite different. So it was me, Joanne her MOH and Cora that put it all together and I think we did a pretty nice job for her!

Ms. Mak, myself and the soon to be bride, Som!  My little girl wasn't feeling too great today but of course couldn't miss out on the party!  She was a trooper and wanted to be there so bad.  She was mellow but a good girl!
Some of the Scrap Queens were here to help her celebrate!
The kiddos!  These girls just make my Makayla so happy even when she's down.
Here's Mylee with my Mom and Som.  Ryan brought her over a little later since she was napping when we started.  She too wasn't feeling too hot but couldn't miss the big party for Auntie!
Yay, our team won the toilet paper bride!  Isn't Antoinette beautiful?  Joanne did a great job at putting all the games together!  Go Joanne!  Glad someone's good at that since I'm so not a game person at all!  Everyone enjoyed all the games and all the prizes they gave out too!  What fun!

Say cheese!  Here's all the party participants!  What fun it was and we really hope Som enjoyed her very special bridal shower and felt like she was showered with all kinds of love from all her friends and family!  You have to take note of the banner behind us.  Thanks to Grace for teaching me how to make that!  It was so much fun and so pretty!  It said "Congratulations Som!"  Only one more month to go until the big day!

Mylee's 9-Month Well Visit

It's that time again for another well visit check up with the Dr. H the pediatrician for Mylee's 9-months.  She officially weighs in at 17lbs 7oz. and is 27" tall.  She's still around 25th percentile for both weight and height and tracking just like her big sis!  She had  another few shots today which is the norm for all their check ups during the 1st year.  Boo!  She did great though!  No crying at all if you can believe it!  I was amazed and thought it was coming but it never did.  She is one tough cookie alright!  That's my girl!  What is lil sweet Mylee up to now, she's pushing up on her knees a little bit and trying to crawl but not quite there yet.  Still a lot of scooting. She's got more teeth coming in on top so that's going to make 6 total.  She's cooing and grunting and just really making sure we know she's there!  She's just adorable and so fun and up a lot more now!  We love it!

Sitting like a big girl waiting for the doc.

Big sis joined me too for her flu shot and was great with no tears or whining either!  Both my tough little cookies!  It's been a little rough around our house since they've had colds back and forth for what it seems like a month now!  Poor little things when they're sickies but hopefully we're towards the end of all of it.  That's why they were able to get their shots today since they're better finally!  It's been a long few weeks of sleepless nights.
