Preschool Open House

It was open house at Makayla's preschool today.  We were excited to see her room and all her arts and crafts that she's going to show us.  We'll also get to see her new Yellow room for next year.  Hard to believe it's been a year of school already.  The transition from when she first started last summer until now is like night and day.  We went from crying at drop off for at least 2-months to loving it and anxious to go now!  She's still shy in the beginning but is good old Makayla in just a few minutes.  I think she's just like that for Mom!
We got there and they were trying to put on a slide show but couldn't get the projector to work so Ryan helped them out for a little.  Then we went in and this was the first painting she showed us.  She said it was her monster!

Then she took us to see her beautiful purple flower.

And her garden too.  She was so proud of all her artwork and so are we!  It's all beautiful!  I'm amazed at what she can do!

She hung out with one of her best friends at school, Gracie.  Small world, Gracie's Mommy, Heidi went to high school with my hubby.  Look, she's already chatting on the cell phone.  She's going to be trouble!

We're done in the classrooms so now to check out what's going on outside.  The slide show was cute.  Lots of photos of Makayla and all her friends.  Great memories!  I hope they sell that at year-end for us.  I'd love to get a copy some how.  The girls waiting a long time for their popcorn their eating.  They had a cute little popcorn machine but boy was it popular with all the kids.  What a fun night!  So glad we had the chance to go.
