Tananka Strawberry Farms

We finally got a chance to visit the strawberry farms this year!  We've been to Tananka for a few events but never strawberries so we're very excited!  It's one of Makayla's favorite fruits and her Uncle Alan too!  Glad they could join us after church today!  It's gonna be a hot one!

I guess I somehow got the time a little messed up so we were a little too late and a lot too early for the tour.  They said we just missed a tour that started so they carted us over there.  We made it just in time for the yummy corn!  You guys eat it just like that without it being cooked or anything and it's so sweet and fresh!    There's Uncle and Auntie trying it out for the first time!
Okay, it's picking time now!  Makayla is so excited about this and so are we!  Looks like it's going to be lots of fun!  We each got a container to fill up!  That's a lot of strawberries so we better get cracking.

Here's a little video clip of Makayla actually picking her first strawberries.

Now this is one giant Maui onion!  They grow these in between the strawberries so they don't get bugs.  I guess the smell scares them away.  I learned something new today.  Had no idea.
Mylee and Mommy!  She is lovin' all the strawberries!  Eating them that is!
The family farmers!
The whole family farmers on the wagon.  Alan & Som joined us too!  We all had so much fun together!
Mylee's face was all red!  It looked better in real life but you get the point.  It was so cute how much she loved eating up all the yummy strawberries!  They were so sweet!
Makayla's little pose with all her strawberry containers.  Yes, those are all ours!
Us being silly as little strawberries.
Me and my girls!
It's roasted corn on the cob time!  We got some corn and giant Maui onion to take home too!  What a fun strawberry tour we had!  Can't wait till watermelon season next month for that tour!
