Vegas

We're celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary this weekend too.  It's a short and quick trip since our anniversary is so close to the 4th we like to spend that at home with the family and then take off for at least one night.  I really think this is our only time away from the kids overnight.  Just once a year.  But unfortunately this year the timing was really bad.  Our little Makayla was sick and it was really hard to leave her but we figured it's just for one night right?  Well it was the hardest one night of our lives!  She was miserable and made Grandma pretty miserable with no sleep also.  We tried to make the best of or anniversary since we were already there.  Our trip was paid for by our miles so the trip was really free and so were even the rooms!  Whoo hoo for that at least!  So really the only money was for our entertainment.  We kept it pretty low key and just relaxed out by the pool, walked around and had a nice dinner.  Of course there was some casual gambling in between there also.  Oh and how could I almost forget, we really splurged and got a couples massage.  That was pretty nice!  I think that was Ry's first real massage, wonder if he's in love with them now!  Never thought he'd go. I'm glad he planned all that for us and it was a fun little quick trip under the circumstances.

This was our anniversary dinner.  Sushi Roku.  Pretty yummy and great view of the strip from our table.  We didn't feel like the usual steak dinner in Vegas this time.  There's usually so many good ones but were in the mood for sushi.

Today is our actual anniversary!  7 super happy years with my wonderful hubby!  We had a nice little gondola ride at our hotel the Venetian.  It was cute and so was our gondolier.  He had a great voice and sang some great songs for us by Dean Martin.  Thanks to the grandparents for taking care of our sick girls while we were away!  We had a fun time!
