Here we are at the "Point". I know, we look like dorks holding the HB Wave magazine but Papa had this idea for us to submit our photo since they publish people who bring the Wave on their vacation. Fun idea! The drive wasn't so bad but when we were close the road was real narrow and bumpy. Good thing we didn't read our restrictions on our rental car until after the trip since it really prohibited us from driving on this road. Funny that Grandma read that, that evening in our car rental agreement.
On our way back from South Point we stopped at a Honu Beach for Makayla. Honu means water turtle in Hawaiian and that's pretty much what Makayla calls turtles in general. She really enjoyed it and was lucky enough to really see a turtle without going into the water and snorkeling. Lucky us!
Here is Honu peeking his head up at Makayla! She was soooo happy that she got to see Honu! We stayed here for a bit and had some shave ice! Ono ya again!
The late afternoon was still real nice so we decided to enjoy the beautiful pools at our resort! Boy did Makayla love her pool time with her Daddy! They had so much fun swimming around!
Can you tell she's happy?! Is she swimming on her own? Not so much! Dad is somewhere below pretending to make Makayla look like she's all on her own. Such a nice afternoon lounging by the pool. The pools at this hotel were sooooo nice and fancy! They had a water slide too but Makayla was too young to go down it even with Daddy, but she sure wanted to! And that's a wrap for today!
